How to Avoid the Date in a Blogspot URL

Blogspot blogs, powered by Google's Blogger division, automatically include a date and time stamp for each blog post. This stamp not only displays on your blog post pages, but it also shows up in the preview snippet when your blog post is shown in Google search results. If you prefer your blog to be "timeless," you can simply edit the settings in your dashboard.

Get Rid Of Date in Blogspot URL

Step 1Sign in to your Blogspot dashboard. Click on "Settings."

Step 2Click on "Design" then click on "Page Elements."

Step 3Click on "Edit" beneath "Blog Posts."

Step 4Move down to the "Post Page Options" box.

Step 5Click on the box next to the blog post date stamp. This removes the check mark, disabling the feature.

Step 6Click on the box next to the "At [time]" selection to remove the check mark.

Step 7Click on "Save" to remove the date and time stamp from your Blogspot blog.
